DOLCE & GABBANA Runway S/S 1993 Patchwork Jacket Fashion Hippy Show It 42, UK 10, This jacket caused a bit of a sensation on the catwalk in 1993 and the metallic and velvet version is in the Victoria and Albert Museum. No two are the same! This one has a mix of cottons, silks and metallic yarns. Some are floral, there is some batik, some tribal fabrics, gingham, silks and needlecord. I've added documented photographs of similar jackets to show how they've been styled and for interest only. Fully lined in pink silk. Patterned buttons to front and cuffs. Gently padded shoulders. Breast pocket and two flap pockets. Photographed on a UK Size 8 mannequn. Pit to pit measures 18 inches. Waist measures 28 inches. Length from shoulder to hem measures 28 inches. Generally very good condition, there is two small areas of colour bleed to the back, one on the left shoulder and one on a pale floral cotton piece. These barely show as the jacket is so busy in pattern.
